TJFP attends 2015 National Trans & Gender Non-Conforming Anti-Violence Convening

Running simultaneously with Incite’s Color of Violence 4 (COV4) conference, the National Trans & Gender Non-Conforming Anti-Violence gathering brought together nearly 100 participants from 22 states. Coordinated by the Transgender Law Center, we met for two days in Chicago to do collective healing work, address violence in our communities, share resources, and strategize, strategize, strategize!

Amongst the many, many things shared by all of the groups, TJFP heard it loud and clear, “Our work must be funded“!

TJFP was overjoyed to listen and share space with past and current TJFP panelists, grantees, applicants and friends.

This convening was another reminder of how beautiful and powerful trans and gender non conforming communities truly are.

TJFP on camera! Who are we and what do we do?

Check it out, it’s our film debut!

Thanks to the Trans Justice Funding Project’s awesome volunteer Marin Watts,  you can now watch this video to learn what TJFP is all about, how it works and who you’ve been supporting.

2015 applications (in English and Spanish) are open now and due February 15th!

Help us get the word out to even more trans justice groups (with and without non-profit status) and raise more money to fund them!  Please share widely.

This video has closed captioning.
